The original Grim Reaper
Undertaker X Reader Chapter 3
'The Truth' 🙊💀

Weeks had gone by since the day you and Undertaker shared your first kiss, and it wasn't the last. He still acted completely insane whenever anyone dropped by, especially the young Earl. The only times he ever acted normal was when the two of you were getting intimate with one another. It was the only time you saw his "crazy" façade slip an you got to see the real man... Err... Reaper Undertaker was. You decided it was just a mask he put on after the first night you two kissed and he stopped giggling like an idiot for a short time. He still made himself out to be crazy to everyone else though. There was one night he was being particularly distant though... And he hadn't laughed once all day.

"Undertaker?"

"Hmm?"

"Is everything alright?"

"Wha- oh yes! Everything is quite alright dearie." He replied as he examined a coffin that had just come into the shop. A rather poor family had ordered it for the fathers recently deceased mother.

"You've been avoiding me all day..." You said softly. He heaved a great sigh, placing his hand atop the coffin as he turned to you, his bangs slipping to uncover his eyes.

"My apologies, my mind seems to be off today..." He looked to the ground before continuing.
"You see, there is a certain day coming up that we reapers celebrate... They celebrate the end of the dark ages when souls were either consumed by demons, or purified by the angels and it did not matter how their life was lived, only which creature captured the soul first. The end of the dark ages came when we reapers were born, we brought a balance between the realms. On this day; which changes yearly, we celebrate the first reaper, the Grim Reaper every Friday the thirteenth... It has been declared an unlucky day by the mortals because on this day a large hunt occurs with the angels and demons, they hunt down for the Grim Reaper. Many mortals' souls are consumed or purified on this day. Chaos builds in the three realms."

"Wait! You mean to tell me that the very first reaper- who ended the dark ages, is still alive today? That crazy! He'd have to be thousands of years old!" His eyes darted up to meet your shocked orbs. Then he began to softly laugh, which turned into obnoxious chuckling. He fell to the floor holding his sides before he finally calmed down enough to somewhat hold himself up on the coffin, while drooling.

"Are you ok ?" You asked once you believed he was done with his outburst.

"Ahhhh... The joys of laughter~ heehee." He wiped his mouth and slowly stood up, composed once more but a grin splitting his face from ear to ear still shown.
"I am perfectly fine now, thanks to you my dear, and yes, I am thousands of years old." He began cackling again. Once his words registered in your mind you sat down on the coffin to try to understand what, exactly, he was saying. 'He says he is thousands of years old... Is he ?' You couldn't even finish the thought it seemed so foolish! Undertaker? The original Grim Reaper? No way! You realized it was silent in the shop. 'When did he sop laughing?' Looking up you saw a frown on his face.

"You do not believe me." It was a statement.

"N-no! I-I mean y-yes I believe you! I-it's j-just that... W-well... Look at you! Sure with all this grey hair, and your bangs covering your face and your giant black robe you look ancient! But under all that..." You walked over to lift the hair from his face. "You are wise but you look so young," you sighed, "you couldn't pass for older than 23." His face was slim and beautiful, and the scar covering his face added a more exotic look to his handsome face. Slowly you leaned closer until your lips were mere insignificant inches apart. His breath was intoxicating and you relished in it for a moment before gently crushing your lips together in the most gentle yet passionate kiss you two have ever shared.

One of his hands snaked around your waist to the small of your back while the other held the back of your neck. His tongue flicked your bottom lip you gasped and he quickly took advantage by pushing his tongue in your mouth, exploring the wet cavern with a fiery passion. You melted into the kiss, your hands wrapping around his neck and playing with his long, silver locks.

All to soon, he abruptly ended the kiss and replaced his grin as he gently chuckled. Shocked you just stood there as the door creaked open.

"Gooooood evening, and what brings you here dear William?" You were able to shake you head to clear the dizzying lustful thoughts and turned to see a man in a black suit carrying a thick, leather-bound book, and wearing thick, steel-rimmed glasses covering his green/yellow eyes. You couldn't "read" him and guessed he was another reaper as his eye were the same as Undertakers.

"Who is she?" William's eyes darted over to your direction as he asked his question which came out sounding more like a demand. How blunt he is.

"This lady here is my apprentice, anything you have to say you may say to the both of us heeheehee~"

"Very well." The new reaper turned his attention back to Undertaker. "I am here to go over the task list for the next Friday of the 13th of December." Undertaker frowned.

"We've already been over this... I do not wish for any protection."

"Not have you ever wished for it, yet we will always have an always will be here; each and every year, to keep you out of harms grasp. You are our creator, our mentor, and our most respected elder. It would trouble us all if you were to perish." The reaper pushed his glasses back up on his face with his fingertips as he stared down Undertaker with his expressionless gaze. How convincing he was as he looked like he could care less wether Undertaker lived another day or not. But what he had said... Undertaker... Was he really... The reapers... Creator ? Your head started to spin.

"It's true..." You sat on a coffin, holding your head in your hands as though it would clear the turmoil going on inside your head. "You really are the Grim Reaper..." You said softly. A hand reached out to grasp your wrist and you looked up to see a soft smile on Undertakers face.

"Why don't you go rest for a spell, love?" He pulled you up and held out his arm, pointing to the bedroom where you now lived. You made your way through the thick curtain separating the room from the rest of the shop and flung yourself over the bed. Within a few moments you fell into a restful sleep.

~~The Next Day~~

You awoke to someone softly humming... You easily recognized the tune and began to sing, your eyes still shut.

~ London bridge is falling down, falling down, fall...ing... Down...~

You tried to covered your mouth as you yawned but your hands were restrained. You quickly opened your eyes. The humming stopped. You couldn't see... Anything. It was pitch black. You realized you were sitting in a chair, your arms and legs and torso strapped down. A light suddenly shown in a far corner, yet your vision was limited. A figure then emerged from the light, slowly walking towards you. They began humming again. You could faintly make out a glint in the persons hand and as they came closer to you ever so slowly you could make out the shape of a knife.

You screamed.
